Since 2001 Prometeia collects information coming from asset management firms operating on the market. This database is the basis of Prometeia’s activities dedicated either to institutional investors and to institutional asset managers. Asset management firms that want to be included in the database must fill in a questionnaire that includes information on performance data and, mainly, on issues like investment process, management styles, organizational structure.... Information require half-yearly update. Prometeia aims at directly and constantly knowing any asset manager in order to make its supporting activity to institutional clients more efficient.

Why it's interesting for an asset manager participate to the database:

• Certain invitation to take part in open selections called by Prometeia’s clients, even if notice is exempt from publishing;
  
• No need to fill-in a request for proposal drawing up;
  
• Having the chance to trial the strength of the company as well as of the Holding Group.

The participation to the database is completely free.

Prometeia – which has a multi-year experience as quantitative analyst of financial market and built in-house tools based on solid theoretical basis – had benefits coming from the creation of the database. In particular the database is the “qualitative” tool used in the different activities carried on by Prometeia and – mainly – during the activity of selection on behalf of Institutional Clients. All information included in the database play a fundamental role, as they allow to provide an in-dept knowledge of Institutional Asset managers.

Starting January 2004 are available three different questionnaire in the reserved area of the site:

• Traditional questionnaire, called "QUESTIONARIO TRADIZIONALE"
  which contains data provided from Asset managers.
  
  
• Hedge questionnaire, called "QUESTIONARIO HEDGE"
  which contains data provided from Asset managers.
  
  
• Exchange Trade Fund questionnaire, called "QUESTIONARIO ETF"
  which contains data provided from “n” Asset managers.

FOR THOSE ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE DATABASE
The updating process of the questionnaire information can be done directly through website. Typing your username and password in the left side of the website you will be able to access to you reserved area. Once logged in, you will find a proper link on the control panel.
